in Virtual Worlds,World of Warcraft

Before you is a passage. Blocking the passage is a large sign made up of a wide plank with four pendant planks.
The top plank invites you to press with the words ‘Install World of WarCraft(tm)’

A small creaking voice of warning is heard ‘don’t press that – turn around! turn around!’.

Do you
1) Press Install World of Warcraft(tm)
2) Listen to the warning and press Exit Installer or
3) waver and examine the documentation.

With a bold stab of her staff she presses “Install World of Warcraft” and proclaims loudly to all who would hear her “She who hesistates is lost”"

And with a swift motion she was hurled into another world.

WoW is kinda fun. But once ya get spoiled by SL long enough, WoW starts to feel like a bunch of pre-teen boys running around killing monsters over and over and over and over and…

I don’t think one is likely to replace another. And I’m hoping i won’t get lost down the WoW rabbit hole. One thing I do find fascinating is the machinima from WoW. Admittedly I don’t know all that can be purchased and all the mods, but for something that has a much more static set of content seeing how to draw out a movie from the set of actions available is very cool.

Anyway, feel free to say hi in either place :)

Is true, if you get into modding and machinima there is alot to do there more creative than killing monsters. And just to contradict myself, there was an hour yesterday when I wanted some mindless fun without any social complexities, and I finally got the Alliance banner from Icewing Cavern (so there, you harpies!). :)
